& he said to me, because he was always saying stuff,
He said to me
"I can't take this any more"
& I said, because I am always saying stuff,
I said to him
"What?"

& He told me about it
8 years he gave to The Man
So many promises made
& he gave 110% & got
None of it back.

"I tried so hard, so long..."
& I nodded, because
What was there to say

& he said, "Is this all there is?"
& I said, because I am always saying,
I said, "Well, you can kill a man, but if he's real, he'll never die."

A smirk came over his face

I could see, I could tell
That things were going to get better.
